2 trampled to death, more injured at Ctg Eid-e-Miladunnabi rally

Two people were trampled to death and several more were injured at a Jashne Julus rally on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi in Chattogram on Saturday. 

The incident occurred at the Muradpur area of Chattogram city at around noon. The two deceased were identified as Ayub Ali, 60, of Patia Upazila, and Saiful Islam, 14, of Chattogram City. 

Chattogram Medical College Police Camp Assistant in-charge Sohel Rana told the Daily Samakal that 10 injured were brought to the hospital. Two of them have died. 

Anjuman-E Rahmania Trust Medical Team members brought the injured to the hospital. One of them, Sadekul Islam, said a number of people became ill from the heat and fell down. They were trampled by other people in the rally.
