Gunmen open fire at KUET employee's residence in Khulna

Unidentified assailants fired shots at the home of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) employee Md. Mohsin Sheikh Litu early Tuesday morning.

The attack occurred around 5:40 am on October 28 in the Daulatpur Maheshwarpasha Khuthirghat area of Khulna city.

CCTV footage captured several helmeted young men arriving on four motorcycles. They stopped near the main gate, with some dismounting to unleash indiscriminate gunfire at Mohsin's room above the entrance. The group then shot out a nearby lamp and targeted the CCTV camera before fleeing. Two pedestrians were seen hurrying past during the incident.

Daulatpur Police Station OC Md. Rafiqul Islam confirmed the recovery of six bullet shells from the site. A manhunt is underway to apprehend the attackers.
