Woman crushed to death under tractor in Gaibandha

An old woman was crushed under the wheels of a tractor at Chak Gobindapur area under Faridpur union of Sadullapur upazila in Gaibandha on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Kapashi Beoya, 80, wife of late Pacha Shekh of the area.

Local sources said a soil-loaded tractor ran over the woman while she was crossing the road, leaving her dead on the spot.

Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and seized the tractor for taking lawful action.

Officer in charge of Sadullapur Thana, Taaz Uddin Ahmed confirmed the incident.
