6 killed in Noakhali road accident

Six people, including three women, were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run autorickshaw at Kabirhat upazila of Noakhali on Tuesday afternoon.

The identities of three of the deceased were found. They are Md Sumon, 30, Md Shah Alam, 47, and Tanim Hasan, 22. 

Police and eyewitnesses said the accident occurred in front of Kabirhat Islamia Alim Madrasa on the Kabirhat-Basurhat road around 2:30pm when a speeding truck heading towards Kabirhat collided head-on with a CNG-run autorickshaw, leaving six people dead, including the CNG driver.

Kabirhat Upazila Health Officer Dr SK Debnath confirmed the matter.
