Woman's throat-slit body found in Gazipur, husband critically injured

Police recovered a woman's throat-slit body from a house in Gazipur city. Her husband was rescued in critical condition and sent to a hospital. 

The incident happened at around midnight at the Konabari Nawab Ali Market area. Police took the couple's 16-year-old daughter into custody on Saturday morning. 

Police identified the deceased woman as Rahima Bagum, 38, the wife of Imran Hossain. 

As per the police and locals, the married couple lived in a rented house with their teenage daughter. Imran worked as a meat trader while Rahima was a homemaker. 

On Saturday morning, police went to the spot and found Rahima's body. Imran's throat was also slit, but he was still moving. He was rushed to the Shahid Tajuddin Medical College Hospital. 

Konabari Police Station Officer in Charge Mohammad Salauddin said, Rahima and Imran's daughter claimed her father first slit her mother's throat and then slit his own throat. However, police found her claim suspicious and took her into custody for interrogation.
