NCP Sramik Shakti leader shot in Khulna

A leader of NCP's labour organisation, Sramik Shakti, was shot in Khulna on Monday. 

The man was identified as Motaleb Shikder, the convener of Khulna Division Sramik Shakti Committee. He was rescued from Mukta House on the Al Aqsa Mosque Road next to the Gazi Medical College Hospital in Khulna City at around 11:45am. 

Confirming the matter, Sonadanga Police Station's Officer-in-Charge Animesh Mondal said miscreants shot Motaleb, and the bullet grazed his head. There was a lot of blood loss, but he is alive. Motaleb was admitted to the Khulna Medical College Hospital. He is now out of danger. 

An investigation is underway to find out who shot Motaleb and for what reason, the OC said. 

Previously, two men were shot and hacked to death in front of the Khulna Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court on November 30.
