Youth killed in Meherpur road accident

A youth was killed, and another was injured in a road accident in the Ashrafpur Bypass area of Meherpur Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was Md. Lijon, 23, son of Mofizul Islam, a resident of Monakhali village in Mujibnagar upazila. 

The accident took place when a motorcycle collided head-on with a sand-laden dump truck due to dense fog, leaving the bike rider, Lijon, dead on the spot and the pillion rider injured.

The injured person was taken to Meherpur General Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Meherpur Sadar Police Station Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter.
