UPDF-JSS gunfight in Khagrachhari leaves 3 dead

Three people were killed in a gunfight between regional organisations United People's Democratic Front (UPDF-Prasit) and Jana Samhati Samiti (JSS) in Khagrachhari. 

The incident took place in Madhumangalpara of Chengi Union in Panchhari Upazila on Monday afternoon, said Panchhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ferdous Wahid.

The OC said, "A gunfight broke out between the UPDF-Prasit and JSS in Madhumangalpara of Chengi Union in the afternoon over dominance, leaving three people dead.”

“However, the identity of the deceased has not been found yet. Police have moed to the spot to recover the bodies."

Meanwhile, no statement was immediately received from JSS and UPDF leaders regarding the incident.
