Rajshahi-C’nawabganj rail link restored

Rail communication between Rajshahi and Chapainawabganj was restored after three hours of disruption following derailment of a compartment of a passenger train in Rajshahi Railway Station on Thursday.

Railway officials said wheels of a compartment of the Khulna-bound 'Mohananda Express' from Chapainawabganj veered off the track around 8:00 am, halting rail communication on the route. 

No causalities were reported. 

Rail link restored at 11:00 am after the derailed compartment was salvaged, said Ziaul Haque, superintendent of Rajshahi Railway Station.
