Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route resume

Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River resumed after two hours of disruption caused by dense fog on Wednesday morning. 

Assistant General Manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Aricha Zillur Rahaman said the ferry service was disrupted since 7:00am due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.  

Some vehicles were stuck in the middle of the river while more than two hundreds of other vehicles were waiting at the both ghats for crossing, he added. 

Later, ferry services resumed around 9:00am as fog disappeared, said the AGM.
