2 killed in Barisal road crash

Two women were killed and three others injured as a bus collided with a human hauler in Barisal on Friday morning. 

The road crash took place on Barisal-Banaripara road at Naruttampur in Banaripara upazila around 9:00am.  

One of the deceased was identified as Fatema, 45.

Md Sajjad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Banaripara Police Station, said the Banaripara-bound bus collided with the human hauler coming from the opposite direction in the area, leaving two female passengers dead on the spot and three others injured.

The injured were sent to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, he said adding that the bus was seized but its driver managed to flee.
