Driver, helper killed in Feni road crash

A pick-up van driver and his helper were killed and a worker was injured as a covered van hit the vehicle on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chhnua area of  Sadar upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as driver Iqbal Patwary, 30, son of Ahmed Ullah of Paschim Fazilpur area of Sadar upazila and helper Mohammad Shamim, 25, son of Mohammad Siraj Miah of Senbagh upazila in Noakhali district.

Police said that the accident took place when the covered van hit the stationary pick-up van around 8:30am, leaving three people injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to Feni Sadar Hospital where doctors declared the duo dead.

Critically injured worker Mohammad Ali was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
