4 killed in Mymensingh bus plunge

At least four people were killed and 17 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch while giving side to a bicyclist in Ishwarganj upazila of Mymensing on Friday morning.   

The incident took place on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway in Char Rasulpur area under the upazila around 10:30am.  

Three of the deceased were identified as the bicyclist Ratan Miah, 28, and bus passengers Habib Mia, 35, and Hasina khatun 75.  

Ishwarganj Fire Service Station In-charge Mahfuzur Rahman said the accident took place when the bus driver was giving side to a bicycle, leaving a woman dead on the spot and 20 people injured.

Later, injured bicyclist and two bus passengers died on the way to Ishwarganj upazila health complex, he added.
