Man surrenders after killing wife in Satkhira

A man surrendered to police after killing his wife in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira on Wednesday.

Jalal Sana of Raghunathpur village slaughtered his wife Nasima Khatun, 35, in the early hours and turned up at the police station in the morning, said Subir Dutta, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Jalal had been mentally imbalanced for the last few days, the OC said, adding that the couple had two school-going daughters.
