4 killed in N'ganj microbus plunge

Four people were killed after a microbus plunged into a roadside ditch in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj.   

The road mishap took place on Dhaka-Chattagram highway in Boirarteck area early Sunday.   

The deceased were identified as Md. Shahidullah Muktar, 50, general secretary of Araihazar's Brahmandi Union unit Jubo League, Md. Momen, 55, Md. Razu, 45, and Md. Ripon, 35.    

Another person -- Arifur Rahman Robin, 30, -- was critically injured in the incident and has been admitted to hospital.   

Sonargaon Police Station OC Morshed Alam said the microbus plunged into the roadside ditch as its driver lost control due to the dense fog, leaving the four dead on the spot.
