43 containers of cargo ship fall into Bay of Bengal

A total of 43 containers fell into the Bay of Bengal from a cargo ship due to bad weather on Sunday morning. 

According to officials of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), the containers on board the KSL Gladiator fell overboard near the Hatiya's Bashanchar area around 8:30am. 

However, the BIWTA officials couldn't clarify that the containers were loaded with what types goods. 

Mohammad Selim, deputy director of BITWA, said KSL Gladiator carrying a total of 83 containers was moving toward Pangaon in Keraniganj of Dhaka from Chattogram port.
