Cumilla EPZ factory fire under control

The fire that broke out in a factory in Cumilla Export Processing Zone (EPZ) was brought under control after three hours on Saturday morning.

The fire broke out at the EPZ's Episia Interliling factory around 8:00am, said the fire service sources.   

Pranto Nath Saha, assistant director of Cumilla Fire Service and Civil Defence, said that seven fire fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after three hours of frantic efforts. 

However, no casualties were reported, he said adding the extent of loss caused is yet to be estimated.
