2 killed in roof collapse at Barapukuria

Two workers were killed and nine more injured when a roof of an under-construction building collapsed in the Barapukuria coal field in Parbatipur of Dinajpur.

The accident took place around 4:30 pm on Sunday, said Mostafa Kamal, General Manager (Administration) of Petrobangla. 

Immediately after the incident, two fire service units began rescue operations, he added.

The deceased were identified as Prashanta Roy, 17, a ninth-grade student of Barnamala School and College, hailed from Chowhati village in Parbatipur upazila, and Akash, 36 of Malipara village of Phulbari upazila.
