Samakal journalist Gautam Mondal’s father passes away

Sudhanshu Nath Mondal, father of Gautam B. Mondal, The Daily Samakal Online News Editor, has passed away on Thursday night. He was 80.

He was the headmaster of Ghagoa High School in Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha. 

Sudhanshu, who was also a litterateur, retired from the teaching profession in 2002 and was living in his home in Nizam Khan village of Tarapur union of the upazila. 

The elderly teacher has left behind his wife, two sons and three daughters along with a lot of well-wishers to mourn his death. He will be cremated on Friday afternoon.

The Daily Samakal Acting Editor Mustafiz Shafi and Publisher AK Azad have expressed deep shock at the death of Sudhanshu Nath Mondal and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members and also prayed for peace of the departed soul.

In addition, Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) constituency MP Barrister Shamim Haider Patwari, Upazila chairman Ashraful Alam Sarkar Lebu, Tarapur UP chairman Aminul Islam, former UP chairman Abdus Chamad Khoka, Awami League president Shamsul Haq, teachers and local people have prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and offered their deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
