Ansar member shot dead in Jessore

Miscreants have shot dead an Ansar member at Hashimpur Bazar in Jessore Sadar upazila.

The incident took place at a tea shop in front of the mosque of the bazar on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Hossain Ali, 55, a resident of Hashimpur Tarafdarpara of Ishali Union in the upazila.

The deceased's nephew Siddiqur Rahman said that his uncle was having tea at a shop in Hashimpur Bazar. During this time, the miscreants, who came riding on the motorcycle, fired four rounds of bullets aiming at him, leaving Hossain Ali dead on the spot.
