Bangabandhu Railway Bridge construction work in March next

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said the government has taken initiative to construct Bangabandhu Railway Bridge next to the Bangabandhu Bridge built on the Jamuna River. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the construction work in next year's March 17, the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The bridge will be completed within four years from the day the construction work begins.

He said this to the reporters after visiting the Sirajganj town and its adjoining areas on Tuesday morning.

Nurul Islam said the tender process is already over where hree Japanese companies have participated.
