675 Bogra JCD-Jubo Dal men sued

Over 675 leaders and activists of Bogra district unit BNP's associate wings Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), Jubo Dal and Swechchasebak Dal have been sued in connection with Wednesday's clash between police and JCD men.

Jilalur Rahman, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Outpost, filed the case on Wednesday night for attacking police while they were discharging their duties in the town.

Five members of the police, including Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), were injured during the attack.

At least 29 BNP men were arrested following the clash with the law enforcers and they were sent to jail through the court.

On Wednesday morning, several hundred leaders and activists of BNP’s different units gathered at Khokon Park in the town for a rally, marking the 41st founding anniversary of JCD.

ASP Sonataon Chakraborty said police intercepted some JCD men, who went to the Shaheed Minar alter in the park with their shoes. Then they attacked the law enforcers around 12:00 pm that triggered the clash, he added.
