Myanmar delays Rohingya repatriation due to corona: Momen

Masud bin Momen, a senior foreign secretary, said Myanmar was unable to move forward with the repatriation of Rohingya due to the Corona epidemic. 

This may be discussed again later, he said, adding that an assurance of cooperation from China on repatriation has also been received.

He was responding to a question from reporters after attending a book distribution function on Bangabandhu and Liberation War at the college library on the occasion of Mujib Year organized by Syedabad Government University College, Kasbar, Brahmanbaria on Saturday morning. 

At the end of the program, he inaugurated the tree plantation activities on the college premises.

Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Hayat Ud Daula Khan was the special guest at the book distribution function presided over by Syedabad Government University College Acting Principal Abu Ishaq Bhuiyan.
