Tk9 lakh looted from bank at gunpoint

The miscreants entered the Uthli Sonali Bank branch in Jibannagar of Chuadanga and looted around Tk 9 lakh at gunpoint on Sunday afternoon.

Abu Bakkar Siddiqui, manager of Uthli Sonali Bank, said three people, wearing helmets, entered the bank around 1:15 pm, closed the bank doors and took everyone hostage at gunpoint. 

They snatched everyone's mobile phones from the bank, locked everyone in a room and left the spot with Tk8,94,000 from the bank counter, he added.
