7-day special lockdown in Satkhira from Saturday

A seven-day special lockdown has been announced in Satkhira from next Saturday to control the coronavirus situation. 

The decision was taken at a meeting of the District Corona Prevention Committee at the Satkhira Deputy Commissioner's Conference Room on Thursday afternoon.

It was further decided at the meeting that during the week-long lockdown, daily necessities including raw materials will be open from 9 am to 12 noon. 

However, all long-distance passenger buses and all types of vehicles inside the district will be closed. 

Apart from this, special services for daily necessities, ambulances and other emergency services will be out of the lockdown.

Besides, import and export activities will continue at Bhomra land port in Satkhira. But, all types of shops in the port will remain closed. 

In the port area, everyone including Indian truck drivers and helpers have to follow the hygiene rules. Failure to comply with the instructions will result in a fine.
