RMCH records eight more fatalities at its Covid-19 unit

Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) has recorded eight more fatalities at its Covid-19 unit in the last 24 hours till 6am on Saturday.

Now the death toll rose to 116 so far this month.

RMCH Director Brigadier General Dr Shamim Yazdani told newsmen that three of the deceased were the residents of Rajshahi while other three were from Natore and one each from Chapainawabganj and Kushtia districts.

He added that of the fresh fatalities, two tested positive for Covid-19 and six others had symptoms.

Twenty-five more patients were admitted to the designated Covid-19 wards of the hospital in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of admitted patients to 128, including 34 positive cases.

Seven other patients returned home from the RMCH Covid-19 unit after being cured during the time.
