Mamunul Haque's bail denied in Khulna explosives case

Khulna court has rejected the bail plea of former joint secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Mamunul Haque in a case filed under the Explosives Act.

November 22 has been fixed to take evidence in the case.

Khulna Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge SM Ashikur Rahman's bail application was rejected on Sunday morning, State Counsel Advocate KM Iqbal Hossain told The Daily Samakal.

Lawyers said that on February 22, 2013, several Islamist groups staged a protest march in the city to protest the insult to the Prophet (PBUH). Several policemen were injured in the clashes. Sonadanga Police Station SI Alamgir Kabir filed a case under the Explosives Act.
