2 brothers killed in Gangni election clash

Two brothers were killed in a clash between supporters of a two UP member candidates in the Union Parishad elections at Laxmi Narayanpur Dhala village in Gangni upazila of Meherpur around 10am on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Jaharul and Saharul of Laxmi Narayanpur Dhala village.

Gangni Police Station OC Bazlur Rahman said two brothers were killed in the election violence. On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, he added.
