Indefinite transport strike underway in Sunamganj

All long-distance traffic has been suspended since Monday morning on the call of Sunamganj District Road Transport Workers Union.

The Sylhet Transport Workers Federation is also holding a transport strike across the division at the same time.

It is learned that the strike is being called by the Sunamganj District Road Transport Workers 'Union to withdraw the case filed against the workers' union leaders, stop all kinds of harassment by the traffic police and highway police, and stop collecting tolls from expired bridges.

Sejaul Karim, president of Sunamganj District Road Transport Workers Union, said the strike was going on in Sunamganj district.

At the same time, the strike of Sylhet Transport Workers Federation has also been supported.

The strike will continue till the 5-point demand is realized.
