Two motorcyclists killed in road accident in Manikganj

Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at Manikganj Sadar Upazila on the Dhaka-Aricha highway at around 9:15 pm on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Habibur Rahman Habu, 36, of Dhankora union in Saturia upazila, and Anwar Hossain, 35, of Rajibpur area in Sadar upazila.

Golra Highway Police Station OC Monirul Islam said the bodies of the deceased and the motorcycle were recovered and kept at Golra Highway Police Station.

He said legal action was being taken in this regard.

Abdul Hamid, brother of Anwar Hossain who was killed in the accident, said, “My brother was a cattle trader by profession. He was returning home from Manikganj city with money after selling cows.”
