Explosives recovered from 'militant hideout' in Nilphamari, 5 arrested

Radhab raided a suspected militant hideout in Sadar upazila of Nilphamari and recovered explosives. Five people have been arrested in this connection.

Five people, including two women, were detained in the raid on the house, which had been cordoned off since Friday night. The explosives were recovered from there at that time.

Earlier, RAB members cordoned off the house in Puthihari village of Ward 9 of Sonaray Union in the upazila from 2am on Saturday on suspicion of being a militant hideout, said the media wing of RAB-13.

A team from the Bomb Disposal Unit arrived at the besieged home in the early hours of the morning.

Detailed information on the issue will be presented at a press conference later, the RAB said.
