Manikganj records highest daily Covid-19 cases

The highest number of 94 persons were found positive for Covid-19 after testing 185 samples in Colonel Maleque Medical College PCR Lab in the last 24 hours till this morning, raising the total infections to 8727 in the district, showing the detection rate 50.81 percent.

Civil surgeon office sources said, among the newly detected patients, thirty seven are from Sadar upazila, three from Ghior, twelve from Harirampur, seven from Saturia, nine from Singair, ten from Daulatpur and sixteen from Shibalaya upazila, reports BSS.

Medical Officer of Manikganj Civil Surgeon Office Dr. Rounok Mushrafe said the number of patients cured from the lethal virus stood at 8123 adding that eight persons were cured in 24 hours in the district.

The death toll from the virus remained at 126 in the district, he added.
