Millions of devotees perform prayers at Sholakia Eidgah

This time the 195th Eid Jamaat has been held at the historic Sholakia Eidgah Maidan in Kishoreganj soaked in heavy rain.

Although the weather has been good since morning, drizzle has started one hour before the start of prayers.

The congregation started at 10 am was presided over by Maulana Mufti Shoaib bin Abdur Rauf.

No one could bring anything in the congregation except Jainamaz and mask. As before, there were two special trains for the devotees.

This time also all kinds of facilities were kept for the foreign worshipers coming from different districts of the country.

Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shamim Alam said, “This year more worshipers have come than in the past. I think about three lakh devotees have performed the prayers.”
