Khulna fuel traders go on strike, calling for higher commissions

The fuel oil traders in Khulna have been on strike for 12 hours straight since Monday morning in an effort to press their three-point demand, which includes increased commission and tanker truck lease costs.

As a result, beginning at 6 am, fuel oil extraction and supply from the Padma, Meghna, and Jamuna oil depots were stopped.

The strike today is anticipated to go until 6:00 p.m.

The Bangladesh Tank Lorry Owners Association, the Bangladesh Fuel Oil Distributors' Association, and four other groups are all taking part in the strike.

Sheikh Murad Hossain claimed that oil extraction has also been stopped in favor of the strike from the depots of the Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.
