‘Viewers not increasing due to poor state of cinema halls’

Apu Biswas is one of the busiest and popular actresses on celluloid of the time. Her film ‘Raja 420’, directed by Uttam Akash, has been released across the country’s cinema halls yesterday.

In a recent conversation with Samakal, the Dhallywood heartthrob spoke about the film along with her personal and professional matters.

What’s your expectation on ‘Raja 420’?

Like my other films, I hope that the viewers will accept this film too. The cinema halls were houseful yesterday, the first day of releasing ‘Raja 420’. The film depicts various traditions of the old Dhaka. The songs of the film also acclaimed huge popularity. Overall it is totally entertaining the viewers.

Now the viewers of the film are definite. What is the cause for not increasing the number?

The number of viewers does not depend only on the films, there have other facts too. Sometimes the viewers lost their interests to go for watching movie due to the poor state of cinema halls. The viewers, who go to cinema halls spending their money, return home after being bothered. With the improvement of the technology, our cinema halls are not modernised. This problem should be solved soon.

Why not you are seen with others without Shakib Khan?

The directors cast us for their commercial success as the viewers have accepted my pair with Shakib Khan positively. For this, I have not worked with many others. But I have no objection if the directors will offer me with other actors with good stories.
