BTV introduces online payment

Information Secretary Martuza Ahmed has recently inaugurated the online payment of Bangladesh Television artistes at the ministry's conference room.

 

"Henceforth, the artistes of BTV will receive their honorariums online", said the secretary while launching the digital pay system through a video-conference with BTV officials, reports the BSS.

 

To mark the occasion 16 online payments were made. The information secretary described this initiative as part of implementing Digital Bangladesh and said, "All departments and organizations of the information ministry were being digitized. It was bringing more transparency, quality and speed to the services."

 

Bangladesh Television must take into account the Prime Minister's innovative ideas, digitization and the local culture and heritage into consideration while airing programs, Martuza Ahmed directed the BTV officials.
