Dilip Kumar discharged from Lilavati Hospital

After almost a week’s stay at Lilavati hospital, veteran actor Dilip Kumar was discharged today before noon. Looking hale and hearty, Dilip Kumar wearing a light pink shirt was wheeled out of the hospital at approximately 11.55 am and was accompanied by wife Saira and other family members, reports the Indian Express.

 

Dilip Kumar was greeted by the motley crowd that had gathered around the hospital entrance. Soon the thespian was wheeled into a waiting car and Saira Banu took her place next to him in the vehicle. Before zooming away, Saira expresses her gratitude and thanks to all those who prayed for the superstar actor’s good health.

 

Doctors had earlier planned to discharge him yesterday evening but decided against it as they felt morning would be a better time for discharge keeping in mind the patient’s comfort.

 

Dilip Kumar’s wife, actress Saira Banu had earlier said that the actor was hospitalized as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection and respiratory problems.
