Asaduzzaman Noor turns 78

Former Cultural Affairs minister and eminent cultural personality Asaduzzaman Noor turned 78 on Tuesday. He was born on October 31, 1946 in Nilphamari. He plans to spend the day there.

Asaduzzaman Noor says he's never had many plans for his birthday. "My children surprise me in different ways every time. Maybe something like that will happen this time too," he adds.

"Those who have lived in a hostel in college or university, know about something called 'improvement night.' A feast used to be held then. My birthday is like that. There will be good food," he says with laughter.
