Mostofa Sarwar Farooki in ICU

Film director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has fallen ill and has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital, his spouse and actor Nusrat Imroz Tisha said.

"Mostofa has been ill since this evening. After taking him to a doctor, he was prescribed an angiogram. It was done. He had a small brain stroke. He is under observation at the neuro ICU. Everyone please pray for Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Tisha wrote in a Facebook post at around 1am on Tuesday.

However, Tisha did not mention which hospital he was admitted to.
