Runa Laila launches YouTube channel on birthday

Legendary singer Runa Laila gave fans access to her extensive repertoire on Sunday as she launched her official YouTube channel, "The Runa Laila," in celebration of her 72nd birthday. 

In a video shared on her Facebook page on Sunday, the singer thanked her fans for their steadfast support over the years and provided them with access to her YouTube channel. 

The channel opened with the iconic song "Shilpi Ami Tomaderi Gaan Shonabo," which originally aired on BTV, and "Hello Hi," from her 1982 album "Superuna," which sold over a million copies.

The well-known musician Runa Laila has almost 10,000 songs in 18 different languages. Her channel, which combines Bollywood hits, Bengali folk, and patriotic songs, solidifies her influence in the global music industry. 

She expressed gratitude for the love and encouragement that have been crucial to her over 60-year career.

Runa Laila, who was born in Sylhet on November 17, 1952, has inspired music lovers of all ages by breaking numerous records, including a Guinness World Record, and winning numerous National Film Awards.
