Swadhinata concert postponed in protest of Gaza killings

The Shobar Agey Bangladesh Foundation, a pro-BNP social and cultural organization, has temporarily postponed the Swadhinata concert in protest of the killings in the Gaza Strip.

Expressing solidarity with the oppressed people in Gaza and Rafah, Sobar Agey Bangladesh Foundation President Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee and General Secretary Rakibul Islam Bakul confirmed the matter in a statement on Monday night.

They also strongly protested the Israeli aggression in Gaza, said the statement.

Earlier, the foundation decided to hold the Swadhinata concert at four venues including Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna and Bogura simultaneously on Saturday (April 12), instead of the earlier date of Friday (April 11), to support protests against mass killings in the Gaza Strip.
