Shilpakala Academy to host ‘Chand Raat Eid Anondo Utshob’

To celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is hosting a vibrant cultural event called “Chand Raat Eid Anondo Utshob” today, March 20. The event will start at 6:30 pm at the open-air Nandan Mancha in Segunbagicha.

Cultural Affairs Secretary Mofidur Rahman will grace the occasion as chief guest, while Director General of the academy and renowned poet Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed (Rezauddin Stalin) will preside.

Highlighting the purpose of the initiative, Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed emphasised that the academy seeks to foster an inclusive society by celebrating festivals of all communities with equal enthusiasm and importance.

Jointly organised by the academy’s music, dance, and recitation departments, the programme will showcase lively performances from popular artists including Baby Naznin, Nancy, Pial Hasan, Nolok Babu, Animesh Roy, Anannya Acharya, and Samir Kawal.

Attendees can also enjoy a special mehendi corner set up for everyone.
