Runa Laila, Shakib Khan, 10 other stars share the frame with Babita

Maasranga Television is coming up with a special programme on the occasion of the birthday of legendary Bengali film actress Farida Akhtar Babita, popularly known as Babita. 

In this exceptional programme titled ‘Babita Samagra’, her long acting career, memories, successes and various unknown stories of her personal life will come up in a different way. 

At the same time, 12 stars from the country’s film, music and cultural arena will be one of the attractions of the programme.

This time the programme has become even more special due to a coincidence. Because July 30 is Babita’s birthday, so is the 15th founding anniversary of Maasranga Television. ‘Babita Samagra’ has been created around two occasions.

The programme is written, planned and hosted by Rumman Rashid Khan. 

He said that this is not just a conventional interview-based programme; rather, Babita’s life, work, memories and her contribution to films will be highlighted from various perspectives. 

In his words, ‘Babita Samagra’ will be a valuable document for the heroine’s fans.

Two music legends Runa Laila and Sabina Yasmin, renowned actors Alamgir, Masud Parvez Sohel Rana, Afzal Hossain, actresses Anwara, Jaya Ahsan and Babita’s two sisters Kohinoor Akhter Suchanda and Gulshan Ara Champa and film actor Shakib Khan will be present in various episodes of the programme.

Regarding this special event, Babita said, “‘Babita Samagra’ is going to be something really special for those who love me. I am overwhelmed to see such an event on Maasranga Television with me. I hope the audience will also enjoy the programme.”

‘Babita Samagra’ will be aired on Maasranga Television on Thursday, July 30, at 10.30pm. The programme is produced by Maasranga Television’s executive producer Ajay Poddar.
