Deepika knew about Ranbir and Alia's relationship

A source close to Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he even confided in former girlfriend Deepika Padukone about his relationship with Alia Bhatt before making it official, Pinkvilla reports.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt started dating on the sets of Ayan Mukherji's Bramhastra in Bulgaria. And now the 35-year-old actor has opened up about his 'new' relationship with Bhatt in an interview to GQ this month. 

The actor has been refreshingly candid about this relationship to family (read mother Neetu Singh Kapoor) and friends. A source close to Kapoor reveals that he even confided in former girlfriend Deepika Padukone about his relationship before making it official.

A common friend says "RK and Deepika continue to be close friends, and keep each other's secrets. He told her about it and she was very happy for him and Alia. It's rare to find such friendship between exes."
