Tanushree blasts Rakhi: Not drug addict, definitely not lesbian

Tanushree Dutta opened a can of worms when she came forward with serious allegations of sexual misconduct against Nana Patekar. She claimed that he made her so uncomfortable on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008 that she had to walk out of the film. Rakhi Sawant was then roped in as her replacement.

In her interviews, Tanushree slammed Rakhi for belittling her #MeToo experience, which sparked war of words between the two actresses. Rakhi, in turn, called her a liar and a drug addict. Tanushree responded by slapping a Rs 10 crore defamation suit on her.

Rakhi then held a press conference, in which she accused Tanushree of raping her multiple times twelve years ago. She also called her a 'man from the inside' and a lesbian.

That's not all, Rakhi also claimed that Tanushree took her to rave parties and forced her to consume drugs, India Today reports. 

Now, Tanushree has issued a statement in response to Rakhi's claims. "For those uninitiated in the art of guerrilla war tactics: Smear campaigns never run fair or square. So just to set the record straight: I'm not a drug addict, I don't smoke or drink and I'm most definitely not a lesbian," she said.

In fact, Tanushree said that she was "too much of a woman for this partriachal and misogynistic cesspool to handle". This is why Rakhi was making such "perverted character assasination attempts" to silence her, she said.

"It's clearly not working. Let's not make a jokery (sic) of such a serious movement that can potentially bring positive changes of mindset in our society," she concluded.
