Jolie delays her divorce to punish estranged husband Brad Pitt?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's split in September 2016 rocked the world and how as we had to bid adieu to the power couple, i.e. Brangelina. Owing to alleged substance abuse and violent behaviour from Brad's side, the estranged couple decided to call it quits, and two years later, the divorce battle still continues. One of the biggest reasons why the divorce has not been finalised is because of the custody battle of their six children - Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10.

According to Hollywoodlife.com, Angelina is in no rush to speed up the divorce process and she wants the best outcome for herself as well as her kids, which takes time. "It really doesn’t matter one bit to her if Brad is in a hurry for all of this to be over, that’s not her problem or concern. She has hired a very thorough and tough legal team and she intends on getting the best outcome no matter how long that takes," a source shared with HL.

Many recent reports have also suggested that Angelina is the true antagonist in the divorce battle and that the reason why the process is taking so long is to punish Brad. Then, there are also speculations suggesting that Angie is trying to hold on to her marriage for as long as she can.

The actress has denied the fact that she is trying to punish her estranged husband or that she can't let him go, according to the source. Instead, "This is just about standing up for her rights and getting the settlement that is acceptable to her."
