Global tourism to reach pre-pandemic levels in 2024: UN

International tourism levels will be slightly higher that its pre-pandemic levels in 2024 thanks to a resurgence in Asia, the UN's World Tourism Organization (WTO) said Friday.

According to the Madrid-based agency, 1.3 billion tourists travelled abroad in 2023, 44 percent higher than a year earlier and 88 percent of the figure for 2019.
