Bengali version of 'The Palestine Laboratory' to be launched on Oct 25

Renowned Australian journalist Antony Loewenstein’s bestselling book 'The Palestine Laboratory: How Israel Exports the Technology of Occupation Around the World' will be launched in a Bengali version on October 25, 2025.

The retail price of the book is set at Tk 500, but those who pre-order from September 01 will receive a 30 per cent discount.

The translated book, to be published by Anvil Publications, has been translated by journalist Badhan Adhikari, Saeed Hasan, Tasnia Islam, Mustakim Billah Masum, and Zahidul Islam John, according to a press release.

For the Bengali edition, Anvil Publications has signed an official agreement with the book’s publishing agency, Zeitgeist Agency.

According to the press release, The Palestine Laboratory is a groundbreaking work of global investigative journalism. Using leaked documents, first-hand interviews, and on-the-ground reporting, it shows how, in today’s world of growing ethnonationalism, Israel has become a leading supplier of technologies that help authoritarian and imperial powers tighten their grip on occupied and controlled populations. The book reveals how Israel has, for decades, used the occupied Palestinian territories as a testing ground for surveillance and military technologies.

In this age of “surveillance capitalism,” the book explains how Israel trades its espionage and repression tools for diplomatic gains—normalising relations with countries around the world—while revealing the far-reaching influence of Zionism.
