Iconic objects used by Bangabandhu donated to National Museum

The Bangladesh National Museum received the iconic Mujib coat, white punjabi, pajamas, and tobacco pipe used by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Saturday from the Bangabandhu Memorial Trust.

Nazrul Islam Khan, member-secretary of the trust and curator of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, presented the objects to Md Kamruzzaman, director general of the Bangladesh National Museum, on behalf of the trust.

With the permission of the prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, the artefacts were donated to the nation's major museum.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid was present as chief guest while the head of the museum board, Prof. AAMS Arefin Siddique, presided over it.
