Activists from the Mahila AL congregate at Suhrawardy Udyan

Mahila Awami League activists have begun congregating at the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan to participate in the group's sixth national council, which is an affiliate organization of the ruling AL.

The venue's gates, which are located next to the TSC area of Dhaka University, were used by the activists to enter the area in processions.

Along the various Shahbagh and Nilkhet area routes, there are several parades.

Around 2:30 pm, Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister and leader of the Awami League, is anticipated to open the council meeting.

As the principal guest, she will also speak during the inaugural session.

Safia Khatun was elected president and Mahmuda Begum general secretary at the organization's last council, which took place on March 4, 2017.

Despite the committee's term expiring in 2020, the epidemic prevented the council from forming the new body.

In 1969, the Mahila Awami League was established.
